More procrastination

An idea that’s been rattling around my head for ages. My four favourite Police Academy characters. A t-shirt would work too. Should’ve kept this for eightyinten really, but hey.

Challenge - Eighty In Ten

Just because i’m not busy enough and i’ve had this idea in my head for a while, I thought i’d set myself a bit of a challenge. 80 ‘re-imagined’ movie posters in 10 months (I was initially going to say 10 weeks, but that would probably end in divorce).

I’ve touched on this before, and i’m going to keep to a certain format;

  1. Size - A3, Colours - up to 3 (inc. tints)
  2. Tagline to be reduced to 3 words.
  3. Image used to be simple but relevant to the movie (tho i’ll probably spoil the plot in some of them).

I’ll be posting them here whenever I get one finished.

And, yeah, I know there’s like a million and one designers doing this, but what’s a million and one, eh? Keeps me busy and not looking at porn. Mostly.

Just my type - Diablitos by Cubanica

Designed by Pablo A. Medina, Diablito is inspired by Fileteado, a century-old Argentinean type of lettering & floral ornamentation, that adorned the Buenos Aires streets while on commission by Zoo York.

Much like Populaire, it comes loaded with ornaments making it a solid (if a little restrictive with what you’d use it on) display font.

2011. In a [very large] nutshell.

So at the start of this year, I put together a few resolutions in the aim of keeping them / crossing them off my to-do list. All in all I think I managed to do pretty well on all of them, tho the big jobs definitely got pushed aside…

Here’s how I got on.
